A Facebook post has surfaced from a transgender woman showing online hate speech hurled at her for being transgender. The post was uploaded yesterday by the woman, where people returned the abuse back at the individual in question.
The lady was told that she will never be a woman as she will always have a man’s genitals between her legs. Numerous other forms of abuse were texted by the man back to the woman.
With the current transphobia issue floating around us, it comes as hardly a surprise that these issues persist until today. It is a condemnable & vile action to assault individuals based on what they feel is right for them.
With the new Hate-Speech unit set up a couple of days ago, one has to wait and see the outcome of this matter.
We at The Malta Blog stretch our arm of help to this woman and condemn anyone who feels that these actions are justified.
